PENGUATAN MANAJEMEN PADANG GEMBALA SAPI PUTIH TARO UPAYA KONSERVASI PLASMA NUTFAH ASLI PULAU BALI

Abstrak

White cattle taro is one of the germplasm that is now starting to get serious attention among scientists and governments to make efforts in the protection of its sustainability. The management of feeding and maintenance system of stabled continuously greatly effects of the health and behavior of white cattle. Provide pasture for cattle will provide opportunities for livestock to increase the diversity of feed sources and exercise so that cattle become healthier. An FGD has been implemented to increase the capacity of the pasture through the application of technology of plant associations. FGD followed by the village government Taro, Managers and Staff of White cattle Taro Foundation and facilitated by a team from the Tropical Forage Research and Development Center Udayana University. FGD results conclude that the improvement and enhancement of management of pasture and feed crop cultivation technology is expected to be a priority activity for increasing health of taro white cattle and become more attractive tourist attraction.
