GAMBARAN SIBLING RELATIONSHIP SAUDARA KANDUNG DARI ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS DI SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA DENPASAR
Abstrak
Conditions experienced by Children with Special Needs (CSN) can lead to limitations in various aspects of life. Siblings of CSN are required to have a deeper understanding of their sibling's condition, which can evoke feelings of stress, sadness, and loss. This situation may result in conflicts such as violent behavior between CSN and their siblings in their sibling relationship. The objective of this research is to understand the sibling relationship of siblings of children with special needs based on dimensions of warmth, relative power, conflict, and rivalry.This study employed a quantitative research method with a descriptive research type and a cross-sectional design. It was conducted with 54 siblings of CSN at SLB Negeri 1 Denpasar, aged between 12-21 years, using the Sibling Relationship questionnaire. The research findings on sibling relationships revealed that the majority fell into the moderate category for the dimensions of warmth (57.4%), relative power (63.0%), and rivalry (74.1%), while conflict was predominantly in the low category (63.0%).These results indicate that the sibling relationships in terms of warmth, relative power, and rivalry are generally moderate, whereas conflict tends to be low. Based on these findings, it is hoped that parents can better understand their children's needs and provide equal attention to all their children.
