Hubungan Kelekatan dengan Orangtua terhadap Intimasi dalam Hubungan Berpacaran pada Individu Dewasa Awal

Abstrak
Intimacy is the ability to embrace self-identity towards another without fear of identity-lost. Besides, intimacy is development task in early adulthood. In dating relationship it is important to develop intimacy. Openess is very important in dating relationship and only couples that have intimacy who able to share feeling openly. Attachment is strong emotional bonding with significant others, one of them is parent. In childhood, the significant others to individual is parents, while in early adulthood stage the significant others to individual shifting to romantic couple. This research goal is to know relationship between parental attachment toward intimacy in dating relationship in early adulthood. Subjects were 130 early adulthood individuals domiciled in Bali, aged 20-30 years. Instruments used are the Parental Attachment scale that is modification of IPPA (Inventory of Parent and Peers Attachment) and intimacy in dating scale. Result of simple regression analysis is R=0.325 and R2=0.105. This shows that parental attachment contributes as much as 10.5% to intimacy in dating. Standardized beta coefficient of parental attachment showed the value of 0.325 and significance 0,000 (p<0.05) which concluded that parental attachment is related significantly with intimacy in dating.
