BUDIDAYA LEBAH TAK BERSENGAT (HETEROTRIGONA ITAMA) SEBAGAI UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DAN KONSERVASI LINGKUNGAN BAGI KUBE BARUNA KARYA

Abstrak

Seraya is an economically disadvantaged area compared to other regions in Karangasem Regency, Bali. KUBE Baruna Karya group consists of 10 members, each earning approximately Rp. 87,500 per month from their cattle farming activities. Banjar Dinas Kalanganyar Kaler features a diverse array of flowering plant species, making it suitable for apiculture. Several stages were implemented in the community empowerment partnership program, including socialization, the first training session, mentoring, a second training session, technology application, and monitoring and evaluation. The targets for enhancing community empowerment program (PKM) were focused on production aspects (income improvement) and social aspects (skill enhancement). On September 15, 2024, honey harvesting was conducted using a honey suction tool, yielding 100 ml of kele honey (valued at Rp. 100,000). Based on interviews with all members of KUBE Baruna Karya, a significant improvement in skills was observed. All survey items (understanding of stingless bee farming, the benefits of kele honey, the role of the community in environmental conservation, honey harvesting skills, methods of maintaining honey quality, honey packaging, and the use of social media for honey marketing) initially scored 0% before the program and increased to 100% following the implementation of PKM.
