Abstrak

Banjar Jempanang has three main ecosystems besides settlements: forest ecosystem, coffee plantation, and riparian. These three types of ecosystems have characteristics indicated by the structure and composition of different plant species. However, studies on the characteristics of three different ecosystems in a single area are still very limited. This study aims to compare the structure of plant communities in forest, coffee plantation, and riparian ecosystems. This study uses a plot method followed by vegetation analysis. Based on vegetation analysis results, the forest ecosystem has the most tree species (16 species). In the pole growth form, coffee plantations and riparians both have 13 species. For the sapling growth form, the riparian ecosystem has the most species (16 species). The highest IVI (Important Value Index) species in the forest ecosystem are Tabernaemontana sphaerocarpa (48.31%) for trees, Polyscias nodosa (80.34%) for poles, and Areca triandra (129.66%) for saplings. In plantations, the highest IVI are Magnolia champaca (85.33%) for trees, Leucaena leucocephala (74.61%) for poles, and Coffea arabica (166.30%) for saplings. In the riparian ecosystem, the highest IVI are Swietenia mahagoni for trees (79.51%) and poles (68.45%), and Gliricidia sepium for saplings (40.93%). Based on the Diversity Index, the three ecosystems with the three growth forms have values ??in the range of 1-3 which are included in moderate diversity. Dominance Index value <0.5 indicating no dominance of a species, and an Evenness Index value >0.5 indicating an even distribution of species. Overall, the condition of vegetation in Banjar Jempanang is in a stable condition with moderate diversity.
