HUBUNGAN PERSONAL HIGIENE, KEBIASAAN JAJAN, DAN SARANA SANITASI DENGAN KEJADIAN DEMAM TIFOID PADA ANAK SD
Abstrak
Typhoid fever is an infectious disease in small intestine caused by Salmonella typhi. In 2008, the morbidity rate of typhoid fever in Indonesia was 81.7 per 100,000, with the highest distribution at the age of 2 - 15 years. Based on data from the health profile of Bali Province in 2017, typhoid fever was in the top 10 inpatient diseases in Bali Provincial Hospital (fifth place, 1,652 cases). From preliminary studies conducted at Bali Mandara Hospital, according to medical record data from July 2022 - February 2023, 60.9% of typhoid fever patients were patients aged 1 - 24 years.This study is a quantitative study with a case-control design with a total 44 samples. This study was conducted in Denpasar City according to the medical record of Bali Mandara and Surya Husadha Hospital. The analysis method that will be used are descriptive and bivariable analysis. The result are there is a relationship between personal higiene with the incidence of typhoid fever in children (p 0.007), there is a relationship between snacking habits with the incidence of typhoid fever in children (p 0.035), and there is no relationship between sanitation facilities with the incidence of typhoid fever in children (p 0.131).
