Gerakan Penghapusan MOGEF di Korea Selatan oleh People Power Party (PPP) sebagai Political Branding
Abstrak
The abolition of MOGEF – Ministry of Gender Equality and Family – as a ministry in South Korea governance has become a debatable issue in South Korean politics. This issue emerged as a result of MOGEF's performance being viewed as ineffective and failing to properly promote gender equality. Since abolishing MOGEF is equivalent to opposing gender equality in South Korea, many see this issue as an anti-feminist campaign. The People Power Party (PPP) then used this topic as a campaign platform in the 2022 election, particularly with young men who support this subject. The purpose of this research is to determine and clarify how PPP uses the campaign to outlaw MOGEF as a political branding tool. To comprehend how actors approach a problem, this research was prepared utilizing qualitative research approaches. Using this research methodology, the study can clarify the issue of anti-feminism as countermovement and how it relates to a political actor's political branding.
